G'day all,
It was a pleasure to meet some of you last night. I was wondering if anyone had any handy hints/tips for where to get modelling/painting supplies in Oxford? I'm also pretty good at buying stuff on the internet if you would recommend that.
In particular, I would like some undercoat and some brushes, and feel like GW's prices would probably be fairly brutal.
cheers, OZ

There's a tiny-but-decently-stocked hobby shop on Broad Street - I think it's called Broad Canvas or something - nestled in between two other shops (I think the zen/meditation bookshop's on one side of it). Internet - try www.heresyminiatures.com, that's pretty good.

As Adam says there is Broad Canvas, they have a good selection of useful brushes, I've got several from there myself, and they also sell stuff like foamboard.
Internet-wise there's always Wayland Games as well, they sell most GW stuff at reduced prices and also stock quite a few other paint ranges like Vallejo.

i went to Robert Dyas' and GW on a bop-costume-making mission, and found to my surprise that GW spraypaint is cheaper than the one they have there. although their stuff is designed for garden furniture, so i guess it has to be a bit more robust.

Just thought I'd post to say the company I get stuff from actually only do sheets of copper and brass, neither of which being magnetic are not useful for using as the bases of magnetic movement trays, sorry about that. They do do a lot of useful stuff, unfortunately their website is not very easy to use unless you know what you're looking for or have their catalogue.
