There is a narrative and I may not play and act as games master for the fun ensuing. i just want to know who is interested and what warbands. the first scenario is setting off the port edge with competing sailors seeking to capture the famed chalice of Malfleur.

I'll join in once or twice if I do at last get hold of my friend's old Chaos army. I don't know if I'll be sticking to the whole campaign though.

Can I play? I've never played Mordheim before, but how hard can it be? Is it in any way similar to Necromunda? Necromunda is awesome. Actually, we should just play Necromunda.
Anyway I'm bringing my skaven fantasy army from Australia back to Oxford so would like to play as the rat dudes.

Absolutely perfect. You can print off the main rules if you like, but I will have the main rules pack with me if you want to check. I will do an explanation of the main thrust of the narrative on Sunday, and hopefully that will be good enough for everyone. I do warn you that the skaven assasin is nasty so we may end up ganging up on you.

Quantum Field Theory? Anyway, I don't get to England until Monday, so will miss this week's session unfortunately. If you have any details written up, could you put them on the internet and I'll get involved with reading them? Thanks.

This evening I will provide a basic campaign guide, scenario 1 WIP and a few other scenario ideas that will be exciting.

Please note that there will not be a meeting this week (unless Adam has an alternative venue lined up) as I was a bit late getting the Mure room bookings arranged this term and would have had difficulty running a session this week in any case due to prior commitments. Adam will hopefully be sending out an e-mail detailing this term's sessions later today.

Fair enough. i am quite willing to suggest other venues where we could play Mordheim for fun, considering the small scale. I could ask at the union, Lincoln college rooms or even the bear lane Tv room.

OK, turns out my Chaos army is AFK for another term, so no luck with that. If I can be bothered to spend money I'll buy some stuff and join in, but don't bet on it. I suppose I can always proxy... Yep there's no meeting this week, but feel free to come and visit me (and Dan, he'll be over) in college if you fancy some modelling/geek banter. I've started working on a new Hive Tyrant inspired by Nightmare from Soul Calibur. Big claw fist and a giant sword covered in tentacles and stuff. It's going to rock. Fun times. oz: QFT = Quoted For Truth, unfortunately

Just get an empire Free company box. Cheap as chips and loads of great bits. Good idea. I might be able to get my friend to have the Chaos stuff posted to me anyway, which'd be ideal. Or I'll just do what I said I'd do and make a Genestealer cult counting as Possessed and spend nothing.

OK! For the record, I am back in Oxford with a lot of skaven and, after a few hours on the internet, a working knowledge of and great enthusiasm for the rules of Mordheim. I also have some ratskins & necromunda terrain if anyone is that way inclined. Also some blood angels I'm yet to put together. Awesome. Over and out.

Conversely, it turns out the Chaos will yet again not be landing in my hands this term, so either I'll use some Genestealers or just pass on the campaign. I'll see if I can get around to reading the Mordheim rulebook.
Oz, you have Necromunda? Can we play that? (I'll have to read over that, too, but at least proxying 40K models for gangers is slightly less painful than it is for Mordheim warbands...)

To be precise, I have: The outlanders rule book (I think you can get the main rulebook off GW's site) A ratskin gang (also an orlock and cawdor gang back in australia I could get brought over in May, if reqd) a bit of terrain, including 20 of those plastic necromunda bulkheads.
I'd rather play mordheim if there's going to be a cool campaign going but! Adam you should just use genestealers.

You do have a Rat Ogre Oz? depends how the campaign goes but you might need it. I put online tomorrow the first draft of rules for Scenario 1, though Oz might need a hard backed book to use as a raft unless you have a nice proxy. I do worry awesome might be a stretch though, but I will try my best. Feel free to Pm me any interesting background ideas.

Um I have a few plastic rat ogres here I haven't put together yet, but I can do. I didn't bring my old metal rat ogres from Australia because honestly I think they're a bit terrible.
A raft?? My interest is engaged.

Dudes, unfortunately the rest of my life has intruded on Sundays the last few weeks & will probably continue to do so throughout the remainder of term -- I apologise for not joining in the campaign, it sounds awesome. Maybe next year, sigh.
