I've mentioned my lego baneblade and warhound titan to people at the society before so I thought I'd post a picture of them. An Imperial guardsman is shown for scale in each photo, if I remember correctly the titan is about an inch taller than it should be, but pretty close. The baneblade is I feel perhaps also slightly larger than it ought to be, but I've never actually compared it to my plastic one so I'm not sure. Both were made quite some years ago now. Anyway, enjoy: Baneblade, TitanAlso again as I think I've mentioned him a few times and he's never made it to Oxford (since he is as you will see a bit unwieldy) my Chaos Lord on a dragon (fellbeast stolen from the Witch-king), as you may work out from the file-name the dragon is called Morgoth. Here's a closer image of Lord Dracheos himself, and if you want to see what he is shooting at click here. And finally, because I can, here's my chaos fleet in (nearly) all it's glory, nearly as I think I've added a few ships since this picture was taken, by which I mean about 4 cruisers.

That's one big Chaos army. And some pretty well made Lego stuff. And a rather neat Chaos Lord. Also, Lego nostalgia alert! On the warhound's shoulders... are those the 1/4 circle hull pieces from that ancient range of spacecraft? I had one of those, it was the schizz. It was basically the Starship Enterprise crossed with an X-wing, now that I think of it... And guess what? I just found it! This piece of awesome: peeron.com/inv/sets/6915-1. And through the same site, a bunch of other Lego sets I used to have. Including that giant Spyrius robot I wanted for freaking ages. Man this site is bringing out good memories. (I hate it when stuff makes me regret selling my Lego. I've never really forgiven myself for it...)

If I remember correctly the quarter circle hull pieces are from the larger flying saucer shaped model from the same range as the one you mentioned, this one in fact. I do also have the pieces/lego set that you mentioned, but the hull pieces from that weren't big enough for the warhound. I can understand you regretting selling your lego, I don't think I would ever sell mine, it's always good for a bit of fun no matter how old you are (it probably helps that both my parents still enjoy lego themselves). I've found that lego makes wonderfully destructable 40k terrain as well, I have a bunch of lego buildings for cities of death (complete with stratagems), that are very useful in being able to be blown apart during the game as necessary. They can also of course be rebuilt completely differently for the next game making for more varied terrain. Speaking of which the society does have enough buildings for a cities of death game, we should do one sometime, I quite enjoy the cities of death rules/fighting through crowded cities.

Good idea. I don't have my CoD book with me this term (bought it the month it was released, never played a single game, bit of a waste of £12 there ;D) but the rules aren't that different.
Ah, the big flying saucer! I wanted that one, never did get it. Y'know, maybe when I'm a billionaire someday I'll buy up a quarter ton of Lego and build a fully functional Emperor Titan or something.

I have my cities of death book, and the little counter set, actually I think the society has one of the little counter sets in the box of stuff from GW too. I played quite a few games with the CoD rules with my brother after it came out. As and when my Imperial Guard get painted (which at my rate of painting will probably be when I'm about 30) they are going to have a city camouflage colour scheme.
If you did that you would then have to put it in the Legoland town section for it to go crashing through the centre of London/stomp on the Eiffel tower and scare all the little kids.

I don't think I've actually painted a model to completion in about two years. If you did that you would then have to put it in the Legoland town section for it to go crashing through the centre of London/stomp on the Eiffel tower and scare all the little kids. Better yet, build a Banelord as well and have the two of them fight, destroying most of "London" in the process.

You should consider starting a log on Warseer or similar, I've done that and have definitely found that it's been helping to keep me motivated.

Maybe. It could work. I don't want to start painting yet though. Got too many games to write and models to build
