This is a little system I came up with this evening, for fighting large-scale battles on a chessboard or whatever. It might be a bit in-depth for that to be practical - each regiment has two different changing stats, Numbers and Morale, along with four fixed ones - and it's not fully fleshed-out yet, but i'm quite pleased with the mechanics, and i think it has potential. Dude, that's awesome!
Score one for a productive evening. I really like this, it's clever. Also pleases me greatly in that I (a long time ago) wrote rules for chessmen in 40K so that I could practice with them against my Tyranids... ;D
I can tell it's inspired by Armageddon Empires, too (which, btw, I had my first go at yesterday, and enjoyed immensely). I wouldn't say it's too in-depth. You'd need stat cards or markers of some kind to indicate numbers and morale, but other than that it's delightfully abstract. Well done!
BTW, we really should do some actual playing of Cirque de Sade. Almost forgot about that entirely of late, which is a shame, because it's a great ruleset. I need to get on with making the Duel of Steel PCA, too, otherwise I'll never get around to releasing the next update.
