Another two games to report on, trying out new damage and combat systems. Possibly the biggest change is the removal of the Morale system, as it's just excess baggage that only takes effect at the point where it would most spoil the fun. Psychology is gone! I'll do the report properly tomorrow, because it's late and I've gotta get up at seven thirty for a lecture, but the general gist is that DoS is getting closer and closer to the final incarnation of its game mechanics - the overall shape of the game is here, the playstyle is right and now I'm just hunting down slightly better ways to do the same thing. And removing morale. Who needs morale anyway?
